Atamisque
When fruit is this good, so pure and fresh, so expressive and direct, why hinder it with oak, especially cheap, quick fix oak? Atamisque is one of a growing number of wineries that prefers to use oak only for upper-level wines, opting for the ‘pure fruit’ ethos here. This, however, is not a lesser wine in any respect, as can be seen from its popularity.
“What a lovely wine! Full of energy and a model of balance, with crunchy and delicious red fruit, plus notes of flowers, herbs and lavender. A fresh, savoury and honest wine. More people should try unoaked Malbec.”
