This magnificent Malbec proves to anyone who might be in any doubt that this grape variety is capable of true greatness. From vines grown in Los Chacayes in the Precordillera of the Uco Andes with far older geology than the mountains themselves, this stunning wine offers all of the enchanting minerality and subtlety possible to imagine, as well as dream-like fruit concentration. There is an element of austerity to the structure but beautiful varietal expression also. Aged in French (Boutes) oak for 15 months (40% new, 60% used), no filtration or clarification, only 2500 bottles produced, this is top-drawer Malbec for the top shelf.
