Only 2,000 bottles of this spectacular wine were made and Ucopia managed to secure just 5% of the production, the rest was sold on the domestic market before it was bottled so we feel rather privileged. Three varietals from three tiny, distinct plots of the same Vista Flores vineyard, individual berry selection, fermentation in 400 litre clyvers (ceramic barrels). A blend of 35% Cab Franc, 35% Syrah, 30% Petit Verdot with no single varietal dominating even at this early stage of evolution – this wine will easily age and improve for a decade or more – the nose already offers tantalising aromas of red cherries, black olives, black truffles, cocoa and capsicum. Fantastic balance and structure in the mouth and with phenomenal length. One of the best Argentine red blends we have ever tasted.
