recoleta criolla grande tinto

recoleta criolla tinto 2023

Mauricio Lorca

Taste this and you might wonder why you ever bothered with cheap Pinot Noir; this is far more interesting. Criolla Grande, like Torrontés, is one of the numerous offspring of the increasingly trendy Criolla Chica and Muscat d’Alexandria, a natural cross thereof, and part of the Criolla family. Criolla Grande has larger berries and thinner skins than Chica, and this wine is unsurprisingly light in colour as a result. The nose is a mini-marvel of exotic flowers with red berries and a touch of Turkish Delight, really! Delightful acidity wraps around the juicy flavours in a wine that is wonderful chilled and is a great match for spicy foods and robust seafood dishes.
