From vineyards located on the scarily steep terraces overlooking the Sil and Mino rivers with an incline of up to 70% this is pure, naked, unadulterated Mencia – a grape that has grown rapidly in popularity here in the UK in recent years. There is no oak at all here, it’s just bottled vineyard! The nose screams of wild red fruits and dried herbs. In the mouth you have fantastic tension with balanced but energetic acidity and delicious summer fruit character. Reminiscent of a coiled spring, this fabulous little red bounces out of the glass with a big, unchecked smile on its face. Brilliant value for money too.
