The Single Vineyard wines from Mil Volcanos take things up several notches both in terms of concentration and finesse. This Malbec, from Vista Flores, packs a charming punch of blackcurrant, raspberry and plum with subtle notes of violets on the nose; the palate is broad, voluminous and soft with a big, fresh finish and a teasing hint of minerality. The wine spends 10 months in second and third use French oak barrels prior to release.
