This utterly delightful fizz is from the original home of traditional method sparkling wine, Limoux. Domaine Rosier is a small, family-owned producer making all styles from Mauzac and Chardonnay grapes.

When we first visited the winery, we surprised ourselves by selecting a demi-sec wine rather than one of the drier styles, but this was and remains a must-have wine.

The nose offers ripe green apple aromas with hints of honeysuckle. The mousse is delicate and fine, and the touch of natural sweetness is carried beautifully by delicious natural acidity.

Why Blanquette de Limoux remains a hidden gem in comparison to other sparkling wines from around the world remains a complete head-scratcher for us, offering as it does such incredible value for money.
